About Faith Pantry
The Faith Baptist Food Pantry began serving our community in January 1987. Today, we help individuals and families living in Lower Saratoga County and parts of Northern Schenectady County.
Our pantry is run entirely by volunteers who generously donate their time and effort. We are 100% supported by donations, with most monetary gifts coming from Faith Baptist Church attendees—though all donations are welcome. Every dollar received is used to purchase food for those we serve each Friday.
In addition to financial gifts, we also receive food through community food drives and generous partnerships with local merchants and organizations.
Get Involved
There are many ways to make a difference through the Faith Baptist Food Pantry:
Thursdays – Help pick up food from local stores, unload trucks, sort and organize food, and set up stations for Friday distribution.
Fridays – Assist in preparing grocery bags for clients, help with administrative tasks, or join the cleanup and tear-down crew.
If you’re interested in volunteering, please review our Volunteer Code of Conduct and complete a Volunteer Application (documents available below).
We are thankful for the support of our community partners, including Hannaford, Stewart’s Shops, the Regional Food Bank, and The Food Pantries for the Capital District. If your business or organization would like to join us in serving others, we’d love to hear from you!
Your financial support helps us keep our shelves stocked and serve more families in need.
We gratefully accept donations of non-perishable items such as cereal, soup, rice, pasta, and other long-shelf-life groceries.
You can drop off items anytime the church is open by placing them in the collection box outside the pantry office.
